Later, she was approached by her agent with the idea of investing in cryptos. Seeing the craze for Dogecoin, Naomi was assured that something interesting is on its way in the decentralized cluster.

For the unversed, Dogecoin came into the limelight when Tesla chief Elon Musk showed a great deal of interest in the project. The billionaire shared a stream of statuses on his Twitter handle, highlighting the trust he has in the potential of Dogecoin. The Internet went crazy after seeing Elon Musk’s support for Dogecoin and started investing in the token, making its value skyrocket within hours. Created in 2013 by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer, Dogecoin was introduced as a meme currency. The project’s logo is inspired by Shiba Inu, the popular dog of the ‘Doge’ meme. 

The young tennis superstar has a strong business sense and likes to invest her hard-earned money in various verticals. Osaka boldly admits that she prefers to take risky opportunities as this helps her to know what worked for her and what did not. By investing in crypto, she is taking a step that is quite rare for a young tennis player. She has made strategic investments in various projects, including Sweetgreen, a salad chain, and the North Carolina Courage, a professional soccer team comprising women. She recently launched her Nonfungible Token. She is also a member of the advisory board of Autograph, the NFT portal owned by Tom Brady, which has people like Tiger Woods on board.
